Samsung Delays Galaxy One UI 7 Update for Galaxy Phones

The South Korean tech giant Samsung confirmed the postponement of the worldwide Samsung One UI 7 delay shortly after its launch. Samsung began distributing the new Android 15 update for its top models like the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 6 as well as Galaxy Z Flip 6 and select A-series phones during the past week. The company acknowledged the halt but provided no reasoning behind their choice. Samsung has not revealed any solutions for users who installed the One UI 7 update.
In a statement to Android Authority, a Samsung spokesperson said: Samsung plans to modify the deployment schedule for One UI 7 to deliver the most excellent user experience. The update on new timing and availability will be disseminated soon.
User complaints—especially from Galaxy S24 owners about a locking bug—appear to have prompted this move. Samsung launched an Android 15-based update with a detailed schedule through its Community app in Korea but now faces additional delays that extend users' waiting period.
Samsung stopped the rollout of the Galaxy S24 update issues when the leaker Ice Universe posted the information on X, formerly Twitter. The halted One UI 7 update became a topic of discussion in recent threads on Samsung’s Korean forums.
The leaker shared the following update on X: “Sudden! A critical bug discovered in Korean Galaxy S24 series firmware caused the rollout suspension for all other regions including China.” Following the deployment of the Samsung firmware bug in Korea Samsung encountered a serious bug which resulted in halting the rollout plan across other regions including China.
The Samsung One UI 7 update might be causing device lockouts for users.
Later on, he shared another post to claim: The Galaxy S24 rollout faced delays because users of the Korean S24 series with One UI 7 update Samsung Galaxy reported problems with normal unlocking functionality. Samsung conducted an emergency review of the firmware recall process across different countries. Were you ever faced with a situation where your Galaxy phone could not unlock sometimes?
